Celebrating an historic Hampstead landmark
June 2012 will see the 200th anniversary of the consecration of the Additional Burial Ground attached to Hampstead Parish Church. We are marking this event with the community of Hampstead. We have set up a Schools Project to encourage primary school children to explore their local history.
And over the weekend of 21st to 24th June 2012 we will be celebrating with a full programme of events including a Flower Festival (based on the lives of people buried in the Additional Burial Ground), a fair on Saturday 23rd with stalls and games, lunches and teas, tomb trails, a musical reception on21st and a special festival evensong on 24th (at which the Bishop of London will preach).
